This is a graph of my emotions and their causes over a two-month period. Every day I used the app Daylio to record my feelings on a 1-5 scale, along with notes to give me quantitative descriptions of what was gong on.

At the end of the recording period I analyzed my data and created a graph following the principles of data representation in The Visual Display of Quantitative Information by Edward R. Tufte. I took special care in maximizing the data to ink ratio by using the axis labels as the axes, removing the grid, and so on. I labeled some areas with pertinent information about the causes of their respective emotions.

I am proud of this project. I think it looks elegant considering how much data there is, especially because I have no prior training in information design.
