Botanical Illustration: Blade is a digital illustration with the goal to make it look traditional in mind. I made this piece with Adobe Photoshop and Procreate. I wanted to do this botanical illustration as it further strengthened my observational skills and it gave me a chance to embrace the art of illustration. Through defining the contours of the rose and then rendering an interesting, fantastical light source, I was able to stylize and create a powerful illustration. The concept in mind that furthered this, is that I imaged this illustration would see use in botanical/garden magazine(s).
