Large Exotic Carnivores in America
16:9 screen ratio
This prototype website’s goal is to bring attention and information to the public on the safety risk and animal welfare posed by the private ownership of big cats and wolf/wolfdog hybrids. The focus of this website is presenting up-to-date information, facts, and experiences of privately owned large carnivores within the United States. The landing page begins this by presenting a view with a common unknown fact that should be concerning and pairing it with a photo that correlates. This pairing of graphics/images and content continues with the rest of the website and its pages. The website makes use of a two column layout system with a heavier focus on graphics that educate the basics from each topic they are associated with. As a text heavy project, the information had to be separated and organized to keep the reader’s attention. This is accomplished through user interaction by clicking open bars of additional information.
