This was my Final Major Project. I had to write my own brief so this was the perfect opportunity to design something amazing. I love animated films, so I developed the idea of branding an entire cinema solely based on animated films. I named it Cinesketch. I did all the illustrations myself and designed everything from ticket desks to popcorn stands.

The challenge i encountered when developing this project was that i needed to make it stand alone from the original artwork of the characters. I found a way doing so using 3 different elements which are featured in my logo. 1) the grid background, 2) the sketched lines and 3) the red ball. 

Another task I set myself was to use characters that had a relevance to the area they are in. Therefore with the ticket desk I used the aliens from Toy Story as they were chosen by "The Claw" and when buying a ticket you of course must choose a film. The claw above the desk has a motion sensor which will move every time a customer walks by.  

Each film has a specific ticket but all share the same style. An illustration of characters from the film will be printed on the ticket. The grid background and red ball also feature. 

The concession stand features two characters. Po from Kung Fu Panda is famous for eating so i instantly thought he was a perfect fit for the popcorn stand and Wall:e who likes to fill himself up with things. 

The popcron boxes all feature a character that is associated with the size of the portion. Mr Incredible is a large, Mike Wazowski for medium and Master Shifu for small. The same concept is applied to the drinks. 

The screen doors are specifc to the film; like the tickets are. I also have used illustrations as a way of showing the development of a character, from sketch to rendered vector art and as you enter the room you will eventually see the finished character on screen.

The toilets feature an illustration to symbolise which gender the doors are for, instead of using the usual male and female figures. I also used Wall:e as a dustbin.

In the cinema there would also be a wall that has all of the characters showcased through the cinema on it and provides the public which the oppurtuinty to stand next to there favourite characters and have photos taken.
