This series of three portraits illustrate the different parts to the subject’s character and personality. The first ink drawing points to his knowledge, thoughtfulness and passion for reading. The second painting, watercolour, portrays his playful sense of humour, with light, loose brushstrokes and a slight distortion of his facial features. The final portrait illustrates what the subject may have been in another life and time - a cross between Einstein and a War Veteran.
