UNIQLO UTGP(UT Grand Prix) 2018 was a global T-shirt design competition. The theme in the 13th UTGP was “MARVEL”. Over 8,500 designs were submitted, and UNIQLO picked 17 designs. This T-shirt was sold at UNIQLO stores around the world.
ユニクロUTGP(UT Grand Prix)は国際的なTシャツデザインコンペティションです。第13回目のUTGPのテーマは数々の作品を世に残している「MARVAL」。8,500以上の応募から17作品が選ばれ、私のデザインしたTシャツは全世界のユニクロ店舗で販売されました。
The MARVEL character I chose was Ant-man. He is a member of the Avengers who can change the size of his body. (As you may know.) The title is "A Heroes' Rest". Ant-man is a friendly and funny superhero. He is my favorite Avenger. This design is inspired by Ant-man having a relaxing time lying on a wooden ice pop handle. I put multiple motifs into one graphic.
私が選んだMARVELキャラクターはアントマンです。体の大きさを変えられるアベンジャーズの一員です。(もちろん、皆さん知っているとは思いますが。)
タイトルは「A Heroes' Rest」。気さくで憎めない性格のスーパーヒーロー。そんな彼の休憩シーンを描きました。夏らしいアイスキャンディー、象徴的なMARVELロゴ、よく見ると寝転んでいるアントマン。複数のモチーフを一つのグラフィックに落としこんでいます。
