CRUMBS MAGAZINE COVER
The aim of this project was to try and replicate a cover from 'Crumbs', a magazine issue packed with essential, must-read recipes, reviews of the best and newest foodie venues, this award-winning magazine is a visual feast for the eyes, too!
For this project, the food that was chosen to be the subject of the cover had to be photographed and the graphics were later added using Adobe InDesign. The subject for this cover was a pizza packed with olives, onions, pineapple and cheese. The cover was shot on a flat surface with a black board as the background and a wooden cutting board with the pizza on top. A pizza cutter on the side acted as a prop with a dusting of flour on the cutting board to give a fresh and homemade feel. Additionally, a studio light with a soft box was used to get even and diffused lighting on the pizza. Similar playful typefaces and layout was used to complete the look of the 'Crumbs' magazine cover.
