Etcetera. Defining manking through material culture.

Etcetera.
Defining mankind through material culture.

Design proposal for a new international exhibition.

"Etcetera" arises from the meaning of the word itself. "Etcetera" is normally used to define a large number of elements that are not mentioned in an enumeration. In this way, this brand new event adopts this word, because it perfectly describes its concept. The event is built around the idea that the objects that we use in our day to day or that we have in our homes, –that at some point in our life we have bought or acquired through family or friends–, are particular and significant pieces because each of them hide a story behind them. With this festival we want to put in the foreground the way in which the objects that we own define us as people, in some way or another.

Each annual edition of the event focuses on one topic: home decor, religion, pop culture, etc. and it is celebrated in five differents cities (Barcelona, London, Tokyo, Paris and New York) in order to create contrast between material culture in different regions of the world.
In collaboration with Miguel Matas and Andrea Guevara.
