Mayan Art
The Mayan civilization, one of the most important peoples of pre-Columbian Mesoamerica, (Mayan prospered between 500 B.C. and 900 A.D) a culture that spread through different states of contemporary Mexico (Yucatan, Campeche, Quintana Roo, Chiapas and Tabasco), as well as other Central American countries, such as Belize, Guatemala , Honduras and El Salvador.
'Mayan Art' is a project, where some of hundreds of Mayan pictograms are taken.
Some colors more used by this great civilization are used, as a representation towards their culture, tradition and legacy.
The Mayan art and its complex writing also shone in the splendid polychrome ceramics of codex style, in which passages of mythology and Mayan ritual are narrated, carving of obsidian, shells or conch shells, decorated with knives with built-in characters of asymmetry, and many more masterpieces of great technical complexity.
