A TRADIE'S MATE
Designing the app “A Tradies Mate” was an initiative we thought would have the most impactful change. Suicide rates among young Tradies in Australia are 2.3 times higher than for other men. Our social app is designed for Tradies who are struggling with mental health issues and will enable these tradies to connect with other Tradies around Australia struggling with the same issues. It enables them to realise they are not alone, and that help is only one phone call away. “A Tradies Mate” will give Tradies not only the opportunity to talk with likeminded people but be able to have a physical connection through different social activities attended by tradies like themselves, such as fishing and playing rugby.
