The theoretical client for the project was the American Visionary Art Museum.
Objective
The purpose of the project was to create a flexible branding system and accompanying identity guide for any particular museum of choice.
Solution
The American Visionary Art Museum is a quirky, ecclectic showcase of work made by completely self-taught artists. I wanted to imply this feeling in the branding of the museum by using vibrant, textured elements that all interact in a playful, off-kilter manner. Flexibility has been provided in the given color palette and how the museum can arrange the torn paper strips. The basic elements of the museum’s brand identity were then applied to posters, signage, ticketing, shopping bags, and various gift items.
