The project consists of 3 parts: an analysis of international experience on the subject, determine the potential for the city of Kazan, the development of the model, testing the model on certain existing areas.
The first part is an optimization of industrial experience in the world and abandoned spaces. We find analogues of the conceptual project of a new type of resource towns. The analysis of completed projects of reconstruction, identified the main characteristics, the model determined the reorganization of urban space as an example the city of Kazan.

In the second part of the project analyzed the city of Kazan, identified problem areas, possible to carry out the reorganization. The potential capacity of urban spaces abandoned and identified available resources.
The model represents a system of flowing spaces, connected in a network that activates the available natural resources and optimizes the environmental situation of the city. Also, the network determines the structure of the new urban fabric that allows you to optimize the transport system of the city and also activates the previously vacant space and resources.
In the third part of the project is shown testing the model on three specific, the most problematic areas.
