Street on Film: Sydney

Sydney, Australia. Street photography. 35mm b+w film.
It's not that I don't like colour, or that I don't like digital, I do – particularly for colour. It's just I prefer film for black and white. Grain can be faked with digital, but film has a tonality that cannot be created with on-lens filtration or post-processing.
This is a selection of black and white street photography taken on film over a period from 1986 to the present.
Technical details: photographs taken in the 20th Century were made with Olympus OM1n, OM2n or OM4 film bodies and Olympus Zuiko prime lenses (usually the 21mm f2). Later photographs have been made with Canon EOS 600, 630, RT or 100 film bodies and Canon EF 20 f2.8, 28 f2.8 or 24-85 lenses.
Negatives have been digitised using a Canon EOS M6 and EF-S 60mm f2.8 macro lens mounted on a modified enlarger and processed in Canon Digital Photo Professional and Adobe Lightroom.
