I started this app with a different content which was a restaurant search in the Bay Area for travelers. But then I found out there are too many similar apps that do this. Therefore I changed the content to Free and Fresh food in the Bay Area. 

Research: 

The lack of reliable access to sufficient quantities of affordable, nutritious food.

41,204,000 people in the U.S. identified as food insecure according to a 2016 map of Food Insecurity in the U.S. by Feeding America.

Many individuals in low income areas can not afford to purchase healthy food options.

Purpose: This app is designed targeting college students and the poor who have limited access to fresh and free food. The app will provide informations and data about the free food sources and links to application. This app will direct them to the nearest free/ fresh food source around them when they turn on the GPS while using the app.
