What do they make you feel? 

The Blue Fly awakens memories of all the bad things that may have happen to a person and wants to forget them. Not to cause pain, but to learn from them and become stronger.

The illustrations that have been created for the purpose of the project include human figures that act in a peculiar way inside unfamiliar worlds.

They transmit emotions and personal thoughts to the viewer.

In the “Book of Disquiet” from Fernando Pessoa (1982), there is a blue fly on the main character’s desk, and that stands as a reason for him to start thinking about life and the way he sees the world. And that was the inspiration for the name Blue Fly.

The blue color often symbolizes the melancholia. The fly stands for the negative feelings and experiences, which are unwanted and can’t be avoided.

The flies are everywhere, and that’s why the project’s illustrations are being spread through the QR codes’ stickers everywhere in the city. By scanning the QR code, the people passing by are being led to a specific illustration from the project, which is uploaded to the main website.

the “Project Description” and the “Ask Me Anything” section.

For the development of the Blue Fly, different aspects of graphic design have been used, such as branding, illustration, photography, video, book design, web design and advertising in the social media.​​​​​​​

At the same time, for the promotion of the project there are social media pages (Facebook and Instagram). Photos and videos of the QR codes’ stickers in the city are been uploaded on the social media in order to promote the project and attract the attention of the viewers by recognizing the stickers the next time they see them on the streets.
