In 2018, Valley Sports graciously gave me the opportunity to update their branding. A big part of their business is making apparel for local sports teams and organizations, as well as selling sporting goods, so my approach was heavily influenced by athletic iconography. I spent a lot of time looking at baseball logos in particular. The interlocking VS abstractly alludes to hockey sticks, goal posts, even shoelaces. My hope is that the final result cleanly communicates boldness, strength, and athleticism.
