The building is a protestant church in Berlin-Kreuzberg. I photographed it with a SONY Alpha 7r Mk ll, using a CANON 20 mm 1:2,8 lens. It was close to sunset... 

The rocket engine is a cheap 3D model which I put in place with Photoshop CC 2018. Also lighting and textures are created with photoshop. 

The smoke is just a cloud, photographed on a beautiful day. Masking with a blue sky background is easy with the background eraser. The night is a simple dark blue layer, only the lit areas had to be masked. 

The light is painted in Photoshop, using different fill methods and cloudy brushes. These light layers are mainly responsable for the impact this image needs.
