This is a Powerade spot I worked on at Shilo. The spot is first and then my style frame pitch.
These are two style frames I pitched. They went with a more subtle and different approach, which looked good but I think these would have looked great as well.
CJ2K (Chris Johnson) is one of the fast running backs in football. He broke the RB record at the combine for his 40 time and his speed after breaking tackles is nonhuman. The feel here is that he moves so fast that he is warping through a cloud of smoke almost from spot to spot. When the defender attempts to tackle him, he grabs air since CJ2K has already juked his way passed. The smoke warp would be something like what Nightcrawler did in X-Men 2 but with more of a residual image left behind in every spot.
Speed.
With Ryan Howard its all about Power. He is a hard hitter so the feel would be more of a charge of power with fire embedded in the smoke/echo. When he hits, it would be a big impact as all the echoed time comes together on one single spot.
