Hurricane Sandy left my wife and I stuck indoors without power for days while we waited for the four and a half feet of water surrounding our Hoboken apartment to recede. With no where to go, I started taking photographs from my 4th floor apartment window of the flooded mess Sandy had made below. Only when I was finally able to leave and stay with family in Pennsylvania did I realize the amount of damage that had occurred to New Jersey and parts of New York. Events like Sandy are a reminder that food, warm water, and heat are not to be taken for granted. For this week's project I wanted to remember and honor those people who are still struggling to meet life's basic needs of survival because of Hurricane Sandy. I hope you'll consider making a donation to the American Red Cross.

After Sandy's destruction, I created a series of posters that asked people to donate to the Red Cross.
