This project was made in response to a mock brief for Sydney Dance Company using alternative photographic practices. I explored the film-less, camera-less technique of ‘scanography' using a flatbed scanner and digital process. Inspired by alternative photographic practitioner, Kim Kauffman, I created these photo collages of various flowers found in my own garden. My aim was to capture the interaction between the digital and the natural, evident in the lines created by the scanner and the sense of movement and ethereality as the light travels through the objects.
