September 2017, USC CTAN 495: Visual Music

Beat Machine is a 2D motion graphics animation created in a visual music class at USC. The animation visualizes the music "Vibe With Me" by Koakim Karsud into abstract visuals in After Effects. It was challenging because I have only animated in 3D for motion graphics, and this was the first time to purely animate in After Effects. It was an enjoyable experience to discover various tools in After Effects, and find a new field in animation to explore.
