'Designed To Win' Competition entry

College // ‘Designed To Win’ Project

This project was from the Design Museum in London, this was our first ‘live brief’ given to us by the college. We had to create a poster and logo based on their past exhibition ‘Designed To Win’ which was based on the Olympics. We focused on celebration & success for our posters.

These images show my final logo process. I decided to go for a geometric logo based from the Design Museum building because of it’s shape. I then created the number 1 to represent winning and being number one. As you can see on my final posters above I went for just the one by itself as it was bold enough and related to the brief in more than one way. I chose a grey colour combination as i felt that if I added another bright colour to the palette it would be too much.

We had to make three worksheets that helped show the judges of the Design Museum competition how we got to our final logo and poster. This is the first worksheet showing the research I did to get to my finals.
This is the second sheet showing some of my ideas, I had a lot more but chose to show the ones more relevant to the final outcomes. Below is my logo development in more depth.
This is the third sheet showing my final poster and logo design. Below are the two main designs that helped me get to the final and the actual poster bigger.
