Columbus Museum of Art Wayfinding Planning & Design

Columbus Museum of Art
Exterior Wayfinding Planning & Design (2015)

MKSK was tasked with the planning and design of an exterior wayfinding sign system for the newly re-branded Columbus Museum of Art.

On-site analysis of the Museum campus focused on clarifying vehicular, pedestrian, and ADA accessible circulation routes as well as building and parking identification. Maintaining updated directional information on the Museum website was also addressed.
Wayfinding Design
Once wayfinding needs were established, the team collaborated to develop solutions that would express the new visual identity of the Museum. In preparation for the opening of the Museum's new contemporary wing, I worked predominately on the design of exterior identification signage.

Experience
A sign can serve as a landmark in itself. Visitors love taking photos and sharing on social media!
