For this piece, I wanted to convey a dark mysterious, glitchy feeling. I began by taking an image of some waves, and then using the liquify tool in Photoshop to distort it to create the background. I changed the contrast and brightness of the image, and then proceeded to add some more textures. I used a grunge effect, as well as adding some smoke and a glitch line. I then added the text, and for the word, “Illusion”, I created an RGB split/chromatic aberration type effect.
