The Red Cross project was a brief that challenged me to make a poster that was sustainable and functional at the same time. Through using the method of Design thinking, which includes understanding a problem and going through a process of coming up with a solution that will improve someone else’s life, I came up with a poster that was entirely made out of the same material and chemicals used to make basic pregnancy tests. So the poster is essentially little circular pregnancy tests on perforated paper that students from disadvantaged environments could use. The concept came from the increasing rate of teen pregnancy in South Africa.
