The Problem:
As discovered during the design research process the currently available Retail, track lighting solutions aesthetically and visually do not fit into their environment, creating a bad design representation for the brand of the retail store it is used in.
The Solution:
The Cuby spot lamp concept’s design stands from a pure, bold rectangular shape, to simplify and to essentialise it’s components into one singular form. By making a 30 degree cut through the body, the lamp is able to turn around in a 300 degree circle, while also changes it’s angle, making the product suitable for a variety of situations and interiors.
The aluminum uni-body not only makes a consistent satin finish, but also functions as a passive cooling system to reduce the amount of heat the LED module produces during a all day long operation.
