freedom of information is a piece based on the idea of privacy. facebook has reduced its default privacy settings over time and now most information on a profile is automatically available to anyone on the internet. freedom of information is an exhibition piece that aims to raise awareness of this to allow people to make their own decision about whether they are happy with this and want to change their settings. the piece prints every facebook status posted that is open to be seen by anyone on the internet and prints it with the available information about that person. people are then free to rip of, pick up and look at tickets - even take on with them if they want to get them to question whether they would want complete strangers having access to their information in this fashion.
