Our department helped design graphics for our record breaking "largest human letter" here at UT. We also organized the event from start to finish, which was a lot of fun to see from behind the scenes. 

Al Roker, from the Today Show, has done his Rokerthon event, where he goes to different universities and breaks records, for a few years now and this year he decided to come to Rocky Top to break a record. Guinness also came to make sure everything was legit. 

I specifically helped design the "Power T Man" for our shirts and some social media graphics, along with helping day of event stuff.

Our video guys were able to get some very nice shots of everything that happened during the event as well, which you can view below. Also, I may or may not be dancing...

I drew a few different versions of the Power T before landing on the drawing before. I actually had a few more but didn't want to take up too much space. Having an art director on projects is always fun because you get to really nail down vision instead of being in your head all the time. So with this one we really wanted something simple but convey an old school type drawing. I think the elements of the hair and smile help with that. And the body being minimalist helped the overallness of what we wanted.
