Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival (2012)

I took elements of my installation 'Selbstportrait' and re-arranged them for my allocated site on Belladrum. I created a womb-like organism where heaven and earth meet. My art comes from the awareness that everything is in transition. Life is ever changing; growing and decaying, rising and declining. The tent, canvasses and ladders are like bodies. The wood, poles and hooks functions as a support structure for the flesh and skin, the canvasses and painted plastic sheets. I will live inside my art for a few days, and then it will move on. I will take the skin of the bones, chop up the wooden framework and let the piece become something else.
