Visual Identity, IHL Moot Court Competition, Red Cross

Moot Court on International Humanitarian Law is unique competition for students of Law, organized and supported by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
The task was to create modern visual identity for IHL Moot Court, which would be appealing to younger audience, yet solid and reflecting humanitarian law concept.
Since IHL Moot Court is organized by ICRC, one of the specific requirements to the design was to be consistent with visual identity of the latter.
This logo includes geometric forms, forming IHL (International Humanitarian Law) abbreviation, used both as part of the logo and as a separate design element throughout the whole visual concept.
Breaking this form down to simple forms, red dot and lines, reminds of Morze code, associated with wars, but not showing violence. These forms allow to get more visual impact through creating pattern and rhythm, provides more flexibility in using it on various objects.
The project included design of full pack of stationary for the event, including folders, letterhead, notepad, paper bag, pins, badges, certificates, rollup banner, Power Point presentation template, as well as design of glass award, given the winner of IHL Moot Court competition.
