Clean Up
Clean Up. 2012. On May 19, in connection with the “Nomadic Museum of Modern Art,” Oleg Koshelets proceeded down the boulevards of Moscow with his performance piece, “Clean Up.” He was carrying a handcart with a large number of wooden rakes that he had originally used in the installation, “Neglected Russia” (2011). He gave them out to the citizens he met along the caravan route, thereby removing these utilitarian objects from the environment of the exhibition and replacing them in the space of everyday life.
