This spot is not part of the series for Best Buy. It was an alternate version we did that was lost and forgotten but I'm having difficulties letting it go. It was the heaviest of the 4 spots I worked on in the series. The smoke was rendered with Krakatoa and the spots were 4k so it required higher particle counts than I've seen before - 2.8 billion for one particular shot. These close ups of smoke consumed more than 10 terabytes of hard drive space. Accomplished with 3DS Max, Vray, Pflow, FumeFX, and the all-mighty Krakatoa. Check out the breakdown/process video.
