Squads of 3000 is a response to the creative brief of designing an interactive publication based on city guides. I chose to focus on my hometown of Melbourne, or more specifically, the people within the city.
As a city, Melbourne is a cultural hub of activity – home to many but also a passing destination for others. I find that although it’s the places and structures that physically make up a city, it is the people existing within that breathe life into it and give it its true essence. The written content of the publication is light-hearted to reflect the typical nature of Australians and aims to give a tongue-in-cheek overview of Melbourne’s inhabitants.
