Whereas we today relate music with lights and colour; Alexander Scriabin's symphony Prometheus: Poem of Fire is a unique piece of musical genius. Transcribing a piece of 'visual music' , Scriabin – a self proclaimed Synesthete – created a symphony of colour to be played on an instrument lost to the ages called a Lumiere a Clave.
