UT Horn Summit T-Shirts

The Horn Summit was a 1-day instrumental workshop geared toward college students from surrounding schools. When determining the design for the t-shirt, it was important that it be "fun" and more interesting than a stock image of a horn. It also couldn't be too "childish" since it needed to appeal to a pre-professional audience.
My inspiration came from a handful of images that used text and the basic shapes of musical instruments to create a greater image. The UT standard Gotham typeface in Black, and the convenient order of letters in the title, lent itself nicely to being manipulated into the general shape of a horn.

To further add to the playfulness of this piece, I placed the design in the center of the shirt and had it printed rather large so that the horn shape would appear roughly in the location a performer would be holding a horn in relation to their body.
