During the conducting of the 2010 U.S. Census demographers expected to see an increase in the numbers and percentages of multiracial people in the 2010 U.S. Census and Beyond. That prediction came true, with Multiracial Americans topping 5 million in the United States. This increase will most definitely bring up the issue and spur a response for the addition of Multiracial on all federal and state forms. My strategy is to propose the issue in a way that all Americans can understand and appreciate. The campaign centralizes around showcasing and using hybrid flowers as a metaphor for Multiracial Americans. By first seeing the beauty and than recognizing the issue, the information will have been presented to them in a way they’ve never seen race, a way that will hopefully hit home.
