KICK-ABOUT KIDZ: AN INTERACTIVE VIRTUAL UNIVERSE FOR KIDS
Kick-About Kidz is a kids' entertainment brand that centres around the lives of a group of teenage kids.There are many, many elements and branches to their world but essentially the brand is an all-encompassing, virtual world.
A vast amount of research and design work has gone into this project and entire concept documents have
been drawn up for the videogame, the app, the merchandise and their own virtual pop group.
Obviously we don't want to spread all our plans across the internet but we'd love you to take a look at just examples of what we have planned.

ABOVE: This little teaser trailer is a miniature showcase for the Kick-About Kidz first music video. These are the two main characters from the brand but other characters will make their own cameos. The app allows character relationships to evolve but elements such as the music videos further enhance this structure.
ABOVE: Here you'll see two versions of the main character. The entire character design process is a long one, beginning with sketches and transitioning through to Photoshop design and eventually the 3D model. In some respect the 2D is superior. It's very difficult to make a 3D model to match the character found in a sketch or 2D design without resorting to using hundreds of thousands of polygons. Because of this, we intend to use different versions of he character art in different situations.
ABOVE: When it comes to the app a vast amount of work has already been done.Players will be able to personalise profiles, set their own likes and dislikes, set their friends, customise and buy their own clothes and mix and interact in their own virtual world.
