From 2013 through to the end of 2015, I was responsible for conceiving and thereafter building ASOS Ventures which has now become one of the leading corporate VC’s within the fashion business.  During my tenure, ASOS Ventures was built from ground up and successfully positioned as one of fashion’s global thought leaders.

 

ASOS Ventures is focused on the disruption brought about by the increasing influence of technology upon fashion, now known as FashionTech.  It looks to identify the most talented entrepreneurs in the space and back the most disruptive technology.  Under my leadership, we concluded investments for ASOS Ventures within virtual reality and ad-tech as well as commissioning prototypes in many other areas such as visual search, virtual mirrors, size and fit and visualisation.

 

I was an early speaker on the subject of FashionTech and grew to become one of its principal evangelists, receiving invitations to speak at major international conferences such as South By Southwest (SXSW), World Retail Congress, Mobile World Congress as well as numerous fashion events.
