Location: Bairro Norton de Matos, Coimbra - Portugal

The program consists in Art Center and have as a objective give the opportunity to young artists of the different parts of the world show your works and concepts. Sculpture, painting, photography and other art ways are possible in this Art Center who also has a habitacional building for receiving these artists.
There are two different programs so the idea is separate and take these concept to create two buildings. The residential building is a tipical box divided in 8 habitacional modules to received the artists during the exibitions.

The central building of Art Center consist in exhibition areas and a auditorium. Here the idea is develop a different design to auditorium area because this is the building key, this is from where people enter to the Art Center and the intention is to draw people’s attention.

In contrast, exhibition areas are closed spaces and are ready to received different art works. These spaces are ready to change depending of the exhibition too.
