Process

The redesign process consisted of 3 evaluation methods - surveys, interviews, and cognitive walkthroughs. Each method contributed to the final redesign.

Surveys

Validated the problems existing with current registration and narrowed the scope for our by identifying the most problematic areas. They also gave insight on other external tools students use during registration, which influenced our redesign.

Interviews

Provided more detailed feedback on the problematic areas of current registration. The results were used to create the first design iteration and user personas.

First Iteration Mockup
Example of level of control for different users

Cognitive Walkthroughs

Helped determine scenarios and design flow. They also guided the second iteration, where we transitioned from wireframes to prototypes.
