A series of collectibles done for the RBLI by the Bradford Exchange. These were initially modelled in the far east but were not suitable and far too basic. So they were modified and improved in photoshop using a whole host of textures, surfaces, samples, imagery and filtering effects. This RBLI village is celebrating the end of the Second World War in Europe. The American office of the Bradford Exchange initially used a moodshot of the Kinkade collection of cottages which were a huge seller, and there was something about the backdrop the American public liked, so it was decided to keep it similar in essence. As an art director I think we really should have come up with something more British instead of copying and mimicking the Kinkade village.
