Task: Make an identity that capitalize on the British origin of a new English learning system, specifically using the Union Jack.

 

Idea: Set the logo on Gill Sans due to it's wide usage in England and, create a new icon resembling the Union Jack.

 

The resulting icon works on two levels at the same time, it can be seen as British in general, and English Village in particular. This way we have a "new flag" of our own to make a statement of who we are and where we come from.
