Inspired by the Russian satellite and first dog in space, Sputnik and Laika is a short CG film about an advanced robotic space probe and it's canine passenger. Launched from Earth into deep space, Sputnik's mission is to find a rare and valuable mineral, all the while observing and protecting the first Earth-dog outside of the solar system. When Sputnik lands on an alien planet in search of her objective, she suddenly finds herself on the run from a group of attack drones. Chased across the planet surface with Laika in hand, Sputnik sacrifices everything to keep her companion safe, including herself.
