This brief was set by Penguin incelebration of the infamous Roald Dahl novel “James and the Giant Peach”turning 60. My  concept, “Away with the gulls”captures a moment of adventure, where the seagulls carry James and his friendsin the peach,  away from the fangs ofdanger. To me even though this novel is for children, it is pretty grim. But themagic of the story, is on that capture both children and adults. As I designedthis book cover I thought not just of kids who are just about to be exposed tothis wonderful novel, but also adults like myself who have grown up with RoaldDahl novels. I wanted to relief that that I got when James and his friendswhere carried off to be memorable and this is how I visualised it.
