St. Matthew Identity Program

Objective
In an effort to increase enrollment in St. Matthew School, the Marketing Committee developed a strategy to create community awareness of our school and the excellent education we offer. One of the tactics in that strategy was to create a St. Matthew “brand” and apply it consistently to all of the marketing materials we produced.

The following collection of logos was suggested to create a cohesive St. Matthew brand, offering users variety and flexibility in their application.

Logos were developed for both the parish and the school, and were designed to work together as well as separately. We recommended that the parish adopt the new logo as well, to enhance the overall appearance of all St. Matthew communications. When communication pieces work together, the viewer is left with the impression of a sophisticated, credible organization.
The parish logo was inspired by a stained glass window shape.
Rotating the window shape creates a shield.
The shield logo should be used on official publications such as letterhead,
brochures, business cards, etc.
To offer variety while keeping a consistent identity, a seal version of the logo was created.
It was intended for use on less formal items such as newsletters, labels, window decals,
gym floor, sweatshirts, etc.
An athletic version of the  logo was developed in both the shield and seal format. These logos were reproduced in one or two colors on sportswear, uniforms, decals, etc.
An embroidered patch was created for the school uniform polo shirt, left. The gym
uniform included a white t-shirt, right.
The logo system was applied to banners and signage for interior and exterior use.
Parish letterhead, business cards and envelopes were printed in color as shown.
School letterhead, business cards and envelopes were printed in two colors as shown.
