Kuala Lumpur Design Week 2014_ branding

The assignment brief was to promote and create corporate identity system for Kuala Lumpur Design Week 2014. 
 
I have constructed creative strategy; Single Minded Proposition- ‘Pushing Boundaries’ which means widening audiences’ perspective and visual thinking.
 
Its objective is to support fresh experimental process of development and discipline in design to local designers from students to experts. It is positioned as lively young and energetic festival. 
Logo system
Poster: 
 
Elements of poster are expressions of pushing limits to indicate the festival supports fresh experimental process of development and discipline in design. The motivational quotes are made up with scanning printed typography spontaneously. Scanners are one of the mediums to store visuals in digital. Ordinary objects we sometimes don’t notice could be fun in experimental design process and widening our perspective and thinking.

Promotional campaign:
 
KLDW promotional campaign promotes that festival KLDW is widening audiences’ perspectives, thinking, discipline and development in design by ‘interactive bus shelter’ 
The Idea is to encourage audiences to widen their design experiences in unexpected and widen way. Interactive LED screens will be installed on the inner space- wall and ceiling. After touching start button, the device will interact with audiences hand motions to be designed by them.
