The Alex Archive is a digital platform that provides verified accounts for creators (photographers, painters, graphic designers, videographers and documentarians, writers, researchers, etc.) from around the world to publish their creations about the city of Alexandria.

 

This platform offers an opportunity to document and share their experiences and perspectives about this wonderful city, fostering cultural and artistic communication among people, with the aim of preserving the city's cultural memory and increasing awareness of its rich history and heritage.

 

The Alex Archive project aims to preserve valuable cultural materials from Alexandria and its surroundings and promote them through digitization and an online platform.

 

Because around the world, many interesting and rich records are at risk for various reasons, including harsh weather conditions, lack of proper storage conditions, neglect, and conflict. Also, many public and private collections are closed off by their owners and not easily accessible.

 

Our mission is to assist in preserving these records and presenting them from different perspectives and viewpoints, so that current and future generations can benefit from this valuable and important heritage.
