Demonstrated all I wanted to portray in the images from the day

Practised on the 3 runs each competitor had and figured out best place and shutter speed for the images
Shoot on continuous mode and focus tracking sports mode on camera
In hindsight, would you have done anything differently to prepare for the shoot?
Would have taken a mono pod with me to enable some panning shoots and to give my arms a rest
Attended a Salom Timed Competition for Kayaking at Tees Water Barrier Water Sports Site
This was a built for purpose site and could regulate the water flow to replicate different grades of water flow
The individual kayaks were released from the top of the course and completed 3 timed runs
The images area from the last timed run when the competition was intense and the competitors were going all out to beat their previous times
The action was very fast paced and the course taken by the competitors was totally unpredictable

Wanted to capture the movement, the skill of the kayakers and the shear power of the water and feel that the final chosen image portrays this
