Mistaka Cheese
Mistaka is all about nature, seasons, locality, and craftsmanship. It is one woman's story of discovery and, in her own words, "love at first curd".
Founded by Nissreen Haram an artisanal cheese maker in Amman, Mistaka produces a line of fresh and aged cheeses, and dairy products made exclusively from organic, freshly-sourced Awassi sheep milk.
Drawing inspiration from the passion and patience that goes into the practice of cheese-making, Bidoun Studio developed a visual identity program that quietly pays tribute to the process. The thoughtfully-composed lines frame the logo and subtly stand in for the cheese mould, whereas the hand-drawn Arabic calligraphy recalls its connection with heritage, all the while maintaining a contemporary and clean look and feel.
