This illustration started as a two-point-perspective demonstration for my comic art students, and ended as a digital illustration I really love. I ended up cropping out a lot of the environment in the end because I felt the intimacy and sweetness of the two girls reading (or napping) together was better highlighted by zooming in and framing the overall piece as an ellipse. I was influenced by my love of costume history, the library, and pen and ink illustration.
